About DC Storey
Most homes down here need the same thing: a dozen jobs that are each too small for a specialty contractor, plus one or two that aren't. We do both. Same crew paints your exterior, swaps the outlet that stopped working, reseals the shower and hangs the door that never closed right — in one scheduled visit instead of four.
You see the scope and the number in writing. Anything that changes gets your approval first — no surprises on the invoice.
Salt air, humidity and wind-driven rain wreck ordinary work. We spec paint, sealant and hardware that hold up to it.
Own a place on 30A but live elsewhere? We coordinate access, send photos as we go, and turn units between guests.
What we do
Anything from a two-hour repair to a full remodel. If it's on this list, it's one phone call.
The running list of small jobs — mounted, patched, tightened, hung and adjusted in a single visit.
Proper prep first — scrape, sand, caulk, prime — then coatings chosen to survive Gulf sun and salt.
Repairs, replacements and new circuits, done to code and tested before we leave the property.
Leaks, drips and slow drains traced to the cause instead of patched at the symptom.
Sealing the places coastal weather gets in — before it turns into rot, mold or a framing bill.
Cleared, flushed and checked for pitch and loose fasteners, so storm water leaves the roof properly.
Kitchens, baths and tired rooms brought up to date — demo through final coat of paint.
Bigger builds and structural work, from framing and additions to outdoor living space.
How a job runs
Small repairs can usually be priced over the phone. Anything larger gets a free walk-through first.
Call or email everything you want handled. Photos help, especially for paint and rot.
You receive the scope, the materials and the price. Nothing starts until you say go.
Jobs get grouped into as few trips as possible so your week isn't full of contractors.
We go through the list with you, fix anything that isn't right, and clean the space.

Where we work
We're local, so travel time stays short and scheduling stays flexible — including quick turnarounds between rental guests.
Reviews
The full set of reviews and recent job photos lives on our Facebook page.
The scope, the materials and the number go to you in writing before anyone picks up a tool. Nothing gets added to the invoice without your say-so.
How we quotePaint, wiring, a leaking trap and a door that won't latch get handled on the same visit — instead of four contractors and four separate weeks.
How we scheduleBefore we pack up, we go through the list together. Anything that isn't right gets fixed then, and the space gets cleaned before we leave.
How we finishA review helps other homeowners on 30A decide who to call.
Before you book
The things homeowners, landlords and rental managers ask us most — answered straight.
It depends on the work, the materials and how long it takes. Small repairs can usually be quoted over the phone or from a photo. Larger jobs — painting a whole exterior, a bathroom remodel, an addition — get a free walk-through and a written estimate. Whatever we quote is the number you pay unless you ask us to add something.
No. Estimates are free, and there's no pressure to book afterward.
That's exactly what we prefer. Send the full list and we'll group it into as few visits as possible, which usually costs less than calling out separate trades one at a time.
Yes. We work with owners who aren't local — we coordinate access with your property manager, send progress photos, and schedule around guest turnovers.
Small repairs often get slotted in the same week. Bigger projects depend on the current schedule, so call early and we'll give you a realistic start date rather than a hopeful one.
We can. Paint, fixtures and hardware are itemized in the estimate so you can see the cost. If you'd rather buy your own or use a specific brand or color, that's fine too.
Santa Rosa Beach, Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Watersound, Destin, Niceville and the wider Walton County area. If you're close to the edge of that, call and ask.
Always. Drop cloths go down before we start, and the space gets swept, wiped and put back before we leave. Debris and old materials go with us — you're not left with a pile in the driveway.
You're welcome to be, and you're welcome not to be. Plenty of our customers hand over a key or a gate code and get photo updates instead.
Tell us on the final walk-through, or after. We come back and fix it. A job isn't finished until you've looked at it and you're happy.
